Summary: Facilitates the utilization of resources in order to expedite the identification, sourcing, and delivery of parts to internal and external customers in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Facilitates the receipt and processing of part orders from internal and external customers.
- Receives and processes orders from Service personnel and customers to provide effective support for identification and acquisition of their material requirements.
- Performs part research utilizing available resources to correctly identify the correct manufacturer part number(s) and facilitates their acquisition through appropriate channels.
- Cooperatively works with appropriate department personnel to ensure part orders are processed in a timely manner.
- Performs parts order exception handling as needed and enables expedited orders to be processed in a manner that consistently meet customer expectations.
- Maximizes the utilization of inventory investment through ongoing maintenance and updating of the ARPS database.
- Provides input into the vendor performance measurement and feedback process
- Verifies that all no longer manufactured (NLM) and Factory back ordered (FBO) parts are properly researched, as assigned.
- Assists management in on-the-job training.
Education: Requires a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent knowledge of reading, writing, English, mathematics, and grammar.
Experience: Must have attended and completed classroom training in HVAC and appliance repair or have 3 years of field experience in HVAC and appliance repair or have previous experience in HVAC and appliance parts referencing.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, Licenses/Certifications, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics:
- Able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of HVAC and appliance parts, materials, and supplies used by Home Service Plus.
- Able to exhibit qualities of leadership to develop and maintain high standards of performance in the department.
- Able to meet and maintain performance and attendance criteria for the job
- Able to conduct on-the-job training for other personnel as required.
- Able to work effectively with others.
- Able to learn how to effectively navigate and understand multiple computer software programs in an efficient manner.
- Able to offer all customers (internal and external) the very highest quality service & ensure that all Customer contacts communicate a positive commitment to excellence in customer relations.
- Able to demonstrate a cooperative and responsive attitude.
- Able to actively participate in discussions to improve productivity and the department's effectiveness.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Able to bend, stoop, squat and/or kneel for filing and must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Able to communicate orally in a clear manner.
- Able to demonstrate and apply the manual dexterity to operate a personal computer.
- Able to sit and view terminal for long periods of time.
Working Conditions:
- Able to function successfully in environment with moderate pressure to meet deadlines.
- Able to work overtime as required to meet established deadlines.
- Able to work in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office.

Compensation Rate: Hourly
CenterPoint Energy is required by Minnesota law to provide a good faith estimate of the starting fixed pay rate at the time of posting for the opportunity. This hourly compensation is specific to Minnesota and the pay rate negotiated in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
