Job Summary
Performs a full range of supervisory and administrative duties related to employees and contractors, as well as consultation and advisory direction regarding property rights related topics.
Essential Functions
- Provides supervision, coaching and mentoring guidance to division personnel. Exercises disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Facilitates and leads activities involving real estate, construction and associated documents.
- Supervises staff and contractors, and leads acquisition activities with individual landowners, companies and corporations, and federal, state and local governmental agencies.
- Represents Company as a liaison with municipalities, governmental and regulatory agencies to insure compliance with acquisition and easement requirements.
- Reviews and recommends changes to legal documents utilized in acquisition and management of company’s real property assets.
- Identifies marketing opportunities to sell Company owned properties.
- Initiates and/or participates on cross functional business unit teams.
- Coordinates with outside staffing sources, where needed.
- Demonstrates a client focus dedicated to meeting business requirements related to property acquisition, property management, and conveyance of property.
- Conducts training and tutorial sessions in areas of expertise.
Education Description
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical discipline. Preference given for Texas Real Estate Commission Broker’s Licensure, International Right of Way Association Senior Right of Way Agent designation, Registered Professional Land Surveyor license, or equivalent related work experience.
Experience
Requires a minimum of 15 years experience in commercial real estate, land rights acquisition and/or land related management. Preference given for experience in land rights acquisition related to electric transmission business.
