Job Summary
Monitors and manages social media channels to engage with customers, media, and stakeholders; publishes timely, accurate, and platform‑appropriate content; creates engaging social media content using photography, video, and visual storytelling techniques; provides social media support during emergencies and crisis situations; elevates and responds to emerging and critical issues; and helps protect and strengthen the company’s reputation by delivering real‑time insights, trend monitoring, and issue escalation during high‑impact events.
Essential Functions
- Understand the social media landscape, company social media strategy and policy to support effective use of social platforms in line with business objectives.
- Play a strategic role in identifying, analyzing, and anticipating social and digital trends.
- Collaborate with employees/teams across the company to support campaigns/events on social media.
- Write and post/manage content for all CNP owned social media channels.
- Shooting video, taking photos, and producing compelling multimedia content for all social media platforms.
- Collaborate with marketing to create graphics and social-friendly images for channels.
- Video editing.
- Daily monitoring of social channels, responding to questions and comments.
- Rotating nights and weekends on crisis response for social media duty
- Support live events that company sponsors/attends on social media.
Education Description
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree. Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred. May include non-degreed individuals with equivalent years of professional experience.
Experience
- Up to two years of professional work experience and familiarity with social media channels.
