Job Summary

Design and maintain executive compensation programs. Serve as advisor to management on executive compensation recommendations. Perform executive compensation research and presentation of findings. Review job descriptions and perform job evaluations. Prepare and conduct compensation surveys and analyze survey results to determine competitive compensation levels using market pricing techniques. Prepare executive compensation regulatory disclosures. Act as support for rate case activities including data analysis and material review. 

Essential Functions

  • Understand company executive compensation plans and administrative processes covering all elements of executive total rewards. Monitor executive compensation program elements such as long-term incentive administration, deferred compensation and life insurance. Develop procedures and processes to ensure accurate and timely administration of executive compensation plans and recommend changes to program designs as needed. 
  • Conduct and participate in internal and external studies of executive compensation practices, using market pricing software, Excel, Access, or Business Objects to capture and report data. Interpret competitive executive compensation data, present observations to management, and recommend actions based on analysis. 
  • Partner with internal management and executive compensation consultant to determine executive compensation levels using multiple techniques.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of executive compensation management and maintain knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Pay Act, Securities and Exchange Commission regulations related to compensation to ensure compliance. 
  • Act as primary support for the company’s HR witness on all rate case activity. Gather and analyze data relevant to rate cases. 

Education Description

  • BS/BA Degree required in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Finance, or other related field.
  • Certification from WorldatWork or SHRM is desired. 

Experience

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience and knowledge in executive compensation, compensation, finance or financial reporting.
