Job Summary:
Direct the activities of assigned personnel to ensure proper labor and work load balance in the quality and accuracy of procurement, receipt, storage, maintenance and issuance of stock and non-stock materials. Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients to provide cost effective goods and services to the right place at the right time within established CNP safety guidelines.
     Essential Functions: 
•    Supervise and adjust crew schedules, personnel & activities to ensure that safety, efficiency, and quality of work standards are met, while maintaining an adequate amount of personnel at each work location in the logistics network.
•    Perform the following personnel activities as first line supervision in partnership with the next level of supervision (e.g. training, performance appraisals, discipline, employee development plans, counseling, coaching, work schedules, overtime authorization, expenses, supervisory logs and attendance administration).
•    Manage the coordination of forward and reverse logistics inventory and its processes at all the CNP and contractor warehouse locations.
•    Manage the care, custody, accuracy and security of stock and non-stock materials and supplies at each service center and specialty warehouses in compliance with Federal, State, County and Municipal regulations (FERC, Sarbanes-Oxley, TCEQ, Local Fire  Codes etc.).
•    Support the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) by setting up, directing, maintaining and providing a support base for personnel, material and equipment at EOP Staging Sites.
•    Assist in budget preparation, manage actual expenditures, and run reports to monitor budget as needed.
•    Process invoices ensuring all charges are allocated appropriately.
•    Participate on various teams (e.g. Integrated Supply, Emergency Operating Plan, Slow Moving Material, Inventory Reduction, Best Practice, and other teams that are initiated at service centers with our clients).
•    Attend various service center meetings as well as client meetings off-site pertaining to materials, construction time lines, job-planning and inventory on hand amounts.
•    Perform regularly scheduled SOX audit testing/reporting as directed by management.
•    Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, County, Municipal, and CNP regulations (OSHA, DOT, Homeland Security, etc.) including audits as required.
•    Support the Safety culture of P&L by participating on the Safety committee, conducting warehouse and equipment safety inspections, conducting accident investigations, transporting injured employees to receive medical care, as needed and managing associated documentation (physicians statements, FMLA, safety inspection documents, etc.).
    
Basic Qualifications:
Education:  
•    High School Diploma/GED required. BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university preferred, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. 

Experience:
•    Requires a minimum of five (5) years experience within warehouseing or distribution.

Physical Requirements
•    Able to communicate orally in a clear manner. •    Able to demonstrate and apply the manual dexterity to operate a personal computer.
•    Able to sit and view terminal for long periods of time.
•    Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
•    Able to bend, stoop, squat and/or kneel for filing and must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions: 
•    Able to function successfully in environment with moderate pressure to meet deadlines.
•    Able to work overtime occasionally, as required to meet established deadlines.
•    Able to work in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office.
•    Able to travel occasionally to meetings or for training, occasionally overnight.
•    Able to work in office which may be located in or adjacent to a warehouse facility.
•    Office location may be assigned and reassigned at the Company’s discretion.
•    Note that CenterPoint Energy is an electric and gas utility which has a duty to serve, therefore, from time-to-time, there may be a requirement for extended non-standard work hours or conditions during Emergency Operations (EOP).
