Job Summary:

The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant is responsible for supporting and guiding change initiatives across the electric business. This role focuses on developing and executing strategies that promote employee adoption, reduce resistance, and prepare the organization for successful transitions. The consultant collaborates closely with OCM team members, project teams, and stakeholders to communicate the purpose and impact of changes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans to support organizational transitions and maximize employee engagement.
  • Create clear, consistent, and transparent messaging to communicate the rationale, benefits, and implications of change initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to prepare employees for upcoming changes and foster understanding.
  • Design and deliver training programs and communication campaigns that support change adoption.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change activities using metrics that track adoption, utilization, and proficiency.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and employees throughout the change process.
  • Identify and address potential risks and resistance to change, recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to embed change management activities into broader project plans.
  • Branding the Change: Develop a unique identity for change initiatives, including naming, visuals, and messaging that align with organizational culture.
  • Storytelling: Craft compelling narratives using success stories, testimonials, and case studies to build momentum.
  • Visual Aids: Use infographics, videos, and presentations to simplify and enhance communication.
  • Incentives and Recognition: Implement programs to reward and recognize employees who actively support change efforts.
  • Training and Support: Offer workshops, resources, and ongoing support to help employees adapt to change.
  • Engagement Campaigns: Launch interactive initiatives such as contests and challenges to increase employee involvement.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Organizational Change Management or a related discipline

 

Experience:

  • Change Management Expertise: Familiarity with methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR, Kotter’s 8-Step Process, or similar frameworks.
  • Communication: Ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical Thinking: Skilled in impact analysis, readiness assessments, and risk identification.
  • Project Integration: Experience embedding change management into project lifecycles.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building capabilities across teams and functions.
  • Problem Solving: Aptitude for identifying challenges and developing practical solutions.
  • Training & Development: Ability to create and deliver learning experiences that support change.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust strategies based on feedback and evolving needs.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Sensitivity to employee concerns and ability to provide empathetic support.
