Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of the position include the execution of monthly financial consolidations, preparation of quarterly and annual U.S. GAAP subsidiary standalone statements, and preparation of external reporting for various benefit plans.
Essential Functions
- Perform timely and accurate monthly financial consolidations in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Perform testing of system changes and implementations to consolidation processes within SAP BPC Consolidations module
- Build reports for the benefit of end users from SAP BPC Consolidations module to support internal and external financial reporting
- Assist in the development of streamlined reporting between SAP BPC and the Workiva Platform by working cross-functionally with the SEC Reporting Team
- Develop and maintain internal training materials for internal users of SAP BPC and related reporting functionality
- Prepare external U.S. GAAP subsidiary standalone financial statements
- Prepare reporting and compliance filings for employee benefit plans, including those filed on Form 11-K
- Support the preparation of external financial statements, footnotes and MD&A for SEC filings including Forms 10-K and 10-Q, in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations, on an as-needed basis
- Research and maintain strong technical accounting knowledge to support appropriate reporting
- Special projects as assigned
- Maintain a strong control environment to facilitate SOX compliance
- Coordinate with external auditors and serve as a key contact during the annual financial statement audit process
Education Description

Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting

CPA certification preferred
Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience, with at least one year of financial reporting or consolidations experience
- SAP BPC system and EPM reporting tools experience required; Workiva platform experience preferred
- Benefit plan reporting experience desired
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting requirements
- Big 4 public accounting and energy industry experience preferred
Additional Knowledge, Skills, Licenses/Certifications, Abilities and Personal Characteristics
- Thorough understanding of the SAP BPC Consolidations.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficient with other Microsoft Office software.
- Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex financial metrics to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Strong project management and efficiency-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.
- Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality
