Job Summary

The Corporate Communications Business Partner serves as a strategic communications advisor to senior leaders and executives, developing and executing integrated communication strategies that advance business priorities, strengthen employee engagement, and protect and enhance the company's reputation. This role partners closely with executive leadership, Human Resources, Operations, Corporate Affairs, and other functions to translate business strategy into clear, compelling, and actionable communications. As a manager-level individual contributor, this position operates with a high degree of autonomy and influence, providing communications counsel, driving enterprise initiatives, and leading complex communications projects without direct supervisory responsibility.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to executives and senior leadership teams developing communication strategies aligned with enterprise objectives, organizational priorities, and business initiatives.
  • Provide counsel on messaging, stakeholder engagement, change communications, and reputation management while anticipating communication risks and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Lead the development of executive communication materials including speeches, talking points, presentations, employee messages, town hall content, videos, leadership updates, and executive correspondence.
  • Ensure consistency of executive messaging across channels and audiences.
  • Translate complex business topics into clear and compelling narratives and coach leaders on communication effectiveness and audience engagement.
  • Design and execute communication strategies supporting enterprise transformations, organizational changes, business initiatives, and strategic programs while partnering with HR, Change Management, and business leaders to support employee understanding and adoption of key initiatives.
  • Develop stakeholder engagement plans and communication frameworks for large-scale projects measuring communication effectiveness and adjusting strategies based on feedback and results.
  • Create and oversee communication plans utilizing a mix of channels including employee communications, intranet content, digital platforms, newsletters, video messaging, and leadership forums.
  • Ensure communication content aligns with corporate brand, voice, and messaging standards and drive content planning and editorial coordination across business units and functions.
  • Build strong partnerships across Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, Government Affairs, Human Resources, Operations, and executive leadership teams to align messaging across departments to support enterprise objectives.
  • Facilitate communication planning during critical business events and issues including supporting enterprise response efforts during business disruptions, operational events, or crisis situations.
  • Assist with development of communication materials for sensitive or high-profile issues.
  • Participate in emergency communications planning and execution as needed.

Education Description

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field.
 

Experience

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible communications experience.
  • Experience supporting senior executives and leadership teams in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic communications plans.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide or large-scale change communication initiatives.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
