Job Summary

Our lead data analysts leverage their deep understanding of systems, organizational structures, regulatory requirements, and statistical methods to develop and maintain high-quality datasets, oversee data-related processes, and uncover actionable insights through exploratory analysis. In this role, the analyst will play a critical part in monitoring and evaluating change management adoption metrics, ensuring that data-driven insights are used to assess the effectiveness of organizational change initiatives.

 

Individuals in this position may also serve as business analysts—collaborating with stakeholders to build and implement business cases that apply insights to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of work. This role supports various teams in building trust in the organization’s data and unlocking its full potential.

 

Success in this position requires a highly analytical mindset, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and develop others. A passion for continuous learning, research, and applying data to real-world challenges is key.

Essential Functions

  • Automated data extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources to prepare datasets and visualizations for end users.
  • Develop dashboards and other visualizations to support exploratory analysis and business request.
  • Leverage expertise in business systems, processes, and data sets to serve as a champion for improved data quality and accurate data use across the organization.
  • Assist in refining and prioritizing work request (self-created and submitted by other business units) to optimize collection and use of data to improve efficiency, improve data quality, improve customer service, and reduce costs.
  • Leverage project management skills to develop project plans, monitor deliverable progress, and ensure timely completion of projects with regulator communication to stakeholders to ensure solutions meet the business needs and requirements. 
  • Develops and manages operational initiatives to deliver tactical results.
  • Makes recommendations on difficult problems and issues having significant impact on the department's business unit.
  • Adapts style, uses persuasion in delivering messages, and develops recommendations to sell ideas or services.
  • Serves as a project lead or task force member on projects and/or issues having a significant impact on functional and strategic goals.
  • Provides guidance and training to others in the use of new technologies, theories, concepts and techniques.
  • Constant, self-motivated pursuit of learning systems, organizational structure, processes, data sets, techniques, etc.
  • Operate with limited supervision, guidance, and direction from leadership and senior staff.
  • May provide training and guidance to less experienced professionals.

 

Education Description

  • Requires bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.

 

Experience

  • Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of related industry experience.
  • Use of data visualization software like PowerBI and/or Tableau.
  • Experience with Data Warehousing technology like Oracle Databases, SAP HANA, Google Big Query.
  • Programming experience in SQL language.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience interacting with employees of all levels to present technical data in a non-technical manner.
  • Use of corporate systems including but not limited to Maximo, SAP, Service HUB, OnBase, FileNet, ESRI preferred.
  • Use of data wrangling/ETL software like KNIME, Golden Retriever, etc. preferred.
  • Experience with data governance preferred.
  • Experience interacting with employees of all levels to present technical data in a non-technical manner preferred.
