As the Associate Developer, Applications, you will interface with clients at all organizational levels to plan, develop, evaluate, assess or modify applications in support of various business units.  Transforms or translate business requirements into technical specifications, takes business requirements and delivers and/or directs execution of technical work to yield productive products for business client end-users.
 
  • Performs planning, development, coding, testing, migration to production, and the maintenance of applications within multiple technical landscapes.
  • Performs analysis of client requirements and designs or modifies programs/systems to meet those requirements.  Prepares models, (event, process, data, object, etc.) and prototypes as needed.
  • Supports analysis and evaluation of packaged software and assists in implementation of packaged software.
  • Coordinates with other groups such as Security, UNIX, LAN Operations, Help Desk, and Data Base Support to ensure overall success of the application.  Coordination with other groups for interface support such as SAP, and Outage.
  • Creates, monitors and reports project status.
  • Perform PL/SQL development to support projects and tasks.
  • Designs, codes, documents and tests software and software components.
  • Designs and participates in system testing, performance testing, failover testing and quality assurance reviews.
  • Must maintain awareness of changing technology
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Participates in scheduled annual disaster recovery tests, including maintenance of required documentation and coordination of user participation.
  • Perform deployments including weekend and night rollouts.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Creates required change management documentation for production system deployments
Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or related discipline.

Required - Knowledge on Java language, PL/SQL programming using Oracle Database, TOAD/SQL Developer, Operating systems such as Linux and Windows and ability to participate in multiple projects at the same time.

Preferred – Knowledge on Java Application servers like Oracle WebLogic, Apache or IBM WebSphere and Internet technologies like HTML, XML, WSDL, Scripting languages, knowledge of SDLC activities on development projects. Understanding of Cloud Technology and Solutions.
Certification – Training or Certification on Java Application servers, Cloud Solutions and Oracle PL/SQL Language is an added plus.

 

Experience:   0-3 years of relevant project\work experience required in encompassing planning, development, testing and supporting productive business application systems.
