Community Service

CenterPoint Energy is dedicated to service its community as an energy provider and as a corporate citizen.

We match employee contributions, encourage volunteerism, provide community grants and have a foundation that provides financial support.  Our employees contribute more than 100,000 hours of volunteer service each year and generously give to local charities. Community involvement is integral to who we are as employees and what we are as a company. Our giving objectives are:

  • Building relationships in the communities we live and serve; reaching out to our customers as a caring neighbor.
  • Showing our commitment through corporate sponsorship of community events and by financial contributions to charities, civic organizations, educational programs and economic development initiatives.
