Job Summary

Conducts focused educational/training needs assessments within specified targeted adult populations; designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates a range of responsive educational curricula and training programs within defined fields of expertise and enterprise systems used within CNP.  The position consults with internal and external stakeholders to determine the best strategy and methodology to implement initiatives aligned with business needs.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitates and supports the delivery of asset data quality training programs, i.e., SAP, Mobile Data, Work Order Tracking System, FileNet, etc… for Work Order Management, company construction, and contract services employees.  
  • Delivers training in the classroom and virtually and analyzes which method meets the needs of a multigenerational workforce with various levels of experience and expertise.
  • Provides strategic consulting in all aspects related to training for organization-wide initiatives and projects. Communicates information effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Develops training materials in accordance with company procedures, regulatory guidelines, and industry “best practices” including training handbooks, job aids, models, multimedia visual aids, computer and web-based tutorials, and standard operating procedures.
  • Facilitates or participates in effective training delivery including analysis, implementation, testing and documentation. Creates multiple timelines and schedules according to organizational needs. 
  • Analyzes new organizational initiatives and recommends changes to ensure these matters are included in training programs. 
  • Collaborates with utility operations and leadership to support individual and organizational performance.
  • Reviews advancements in educational technologies and methods; evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs, utilizing appropriate data collection instruments and procedures.
  • Recommends and/or implements innovative solutions, modifications, and enhancements to training curricula and instructional programs. 
  • Annually evaluates the effectiveness of training and development programs, utilizing appropriate data collection instruments and procedures.

Education Description

High school diploma or equivalent required.   
 

Experience

  • Requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in development and/or delivery of training programs. 
  • Requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in gas operations, technical procedure writing or process improvement.
