Job Summary:
As a Customer Service Agent for Home Service Plus, you will be responsible for managing customer inquiries, promoting, and selling a range of Home Service Plus and HomeServe products and services, and processing related purchase contracts. You will also coordinate appointment scheduling for products sold, all while providing exceptional service via phone interactions. This role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, incoming high-volume call environment, delivering efficient and effective solutions to customers.
Essential Functions:
- Promote and sell Home Service Plus/HomeServe products and services via both inbound and outbound calls, consistently striving to meet or exceed individual and team sales targets. Provide expert recommendations, clearly explain product features and benefits, and secure customer commitment to our offerings. Accurately document customer profiles, contract details, and schedule maintenance appointments in the CRM system.
- Address customer complaints related to purchases and installations promptly, ensuring a positive experience. Respond to concerns with empathy, guide issues through the appropriate channels, and follow up to ensure complete resolution, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Participate in regular sales and vendor training sessions to enhance sales techniques and deepen product knowledge. Stay up to date with system updates and departmental initiatives by completing required training.
- Collaborate with colleagues, vendors, sub-contractors, field technicians, and field sales representatives to achieve both individual and team objectives, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Promote and sell Home Service Plus/HomeServe products and services while adhering to sales compliance policy.
- Resolve customer billing inquiries, perform account adjustments, negotiate payment arrangements, and deposit amounts, and ensure timely follow-up on customer accounts.
- Responsible for handling electric outage calls during peak call volumes and storm events, based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
Experience:
- 1 year of sales experience in inside sales, phone sales, retail sales or other direct sales environment.
