Job Summary

As a Recruiter at CenterPoint Energy, you’ll play a crucial role in sourcing and acquiring top talent across our enterprise. You’ll collaborate closely with internal clients, including labor unions, field employees, and electric engineers. Our team supports operations in six states, with headquarters located at the CenterPoint Energy Tower in Houston. 

Essential Functions

  • Workforce Planning and Forecasting:

    • Collaborate with business leaders to understand hiring needs and develop strategic workforce plans.
    • Forecast talent requirements based on business growth and industry trends.
  • Sourcing and Posting Strategies:

    • Identify and attract diverse, qualified candidates through effective sourcing and posting methods.
    • Leverage social media and niche recruiting programs to expand our talent pool.
  • Interviewing and Selection:

    • Implement best practices in candidate assessment and selection.
    • Lead business managers through compliant selection processes.
  • Process Management and Compliance:

    • Efficiently manage recruitment processes and documentation.
    • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Innovation and Technology:

    • Explore innovative uses of technology to enhance recruitment efficiency.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging tools.
  • Diversity and Inclusion:

    • Develop strategies to foster a diverse workforce.
    • Build internal and external relationships to drive better outcomes.

Education Description

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. 

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of full-cycle recruiting and sourcing experience. 
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting for high-volume, skilled labor positions within regional operations.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Experience supporting regional operations across multiple states.
  • Ability to thrive in high-volume hiring environments.
