Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
Following prescribed procedures and practices, provides clerical support and/or administrative duties including data collection and entry, information/data analysis, document preparation, report generation, requests for information and/or records maintenance in compliance with legal retention schedules.
Essential Functions
- Distributes information including mail/email, performs faxing, mails documents, makes copies and scans documents.
- Establishes and maintains filing systems and monitors record retention for schedule compliance.
- Opens, closes, retrieves and/or destroys files.
- Analyzes information and processes/performs data entry/documentation for attendance, the budget and monthly variances, expenditures, expense accounts, electronic invoicing, and payments.
- Assists with resolution of errors, exceptions, inconsistencies and problems.
- Receives, researches and responds to electronic, written, oral or telephone requests for information, including multiple telephone lines or email inboxes.
- Develops, prepares, generates, prints and/or distributes reports.
- Creates file folders, correspondence and other documents.
- Orders non-standard office supplies and maintains office equipment.
- Tracks attendance, including work schedules, vacation, absences and travel plans.
- Makes meeting and travel arrangements.
Education Description
Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent knowledge.
Experience
Requires at least two (2) years of office administrative/clerical experience handling confidential information requiring the use of judgment and discretion.
Working Conditions
- Required to participate in CenterPoint Energy’s Emergency Operation Plan (EOP).
- Able to work overtime (scheduled and unscheduled), including reporting early and/or working late, as needed to meet established deadlines. Able to travel occasionally to other work locations, meetings or for training, very infrequently overnight.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and with many deadlines, schedules and timelines.
- Able to work either alone and/or at locations other than normal work location.
